"Anne and Laurence Yeadon-Jones have created the crown jewel of a boating guide. Peter Puget would be proud to see how his waters have changed since 1792 when he ate crow for breakfast on Cutts Island. This is the most detailed, best illustrated cruising guide ever published about Puget Sound. Laurence even shows you where to anchor or tie up to a buoy. Anne takes you to lovely picnic site or shows you where to shop or take a walk. This guide is not just for boating folks, it is a guide for all explorers of Puget Sound, whether you are traveling by boat, float plane, bike or by car. Anyone interested in exploring Puget Sound should own this book. It fits nicely in my helm station book rack. In a short time of reading a few chapters I see numerous possibilities for my next cruise. This Guide will definitely spark the explorer in you and get you out on the water, seeing new places and having the time of your life."

- I love this book! Anne and Laurence have turned Puget Sound into a magical land to explore and I can't wait to get out on the water. My husband and I have all the Dreamspeaker Guide books in the series and recently purchased the latest and newest, Puget Sound. We don't leave home without our Dreamspeaker guides, especially for docking and anchoring, but also for reading ahead of time about the places we will visit. With their newest guide, we are so happy they have done the work of exploring the area in which we live in such great detail. With this new guide, we will take it on the ferry or in the car, as well, visitng places in our own backyard we didn't even know about. And,It's especially fun to read during the dark days of winter when you dream of the sunshine and long lazy days on the water...Anne and Laurence bring each place they visit to life and make it easy for you to find their favorite places too.
- I have enjoyed the Dreamspeaker guides for years, and their newest book Puget Sound-A Boaters Guide First Ed. is fantastic. An updated guide to the extensive LOCAL waterways has been sorely needed and Lawrence and Anne have "hit this one out of the park."
I have to give this cruising guide strong ratings for function and organization with the iconic hand drawn charts, and photographs and harbor/port details which help you connect with the highlights of the destinations, however, in my view the strength of this book is the fresh perspective that Laurence and Anne bring to cruising locally. This book will remind you of all the reasons you enjoy boating and how lucky we are to have access to the amazing beauty of our local waters. Enjoy!
